As we begin to age, our skin starts to lose its elasticity and due to varying factors some of us can age faster than others and present with deeper frowns and creases. Anti-wrinkle injections relax facial wrinkles by blocking muscular nerve signals to weaken the muscle meaning it can't contract, resulting in diminished unwanted facial wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to help smooth crow's feet, forehead furrows, frown lines and skin bands on the neck, it’s the most performed non-surgical procedures in the world.
Anti-wrinkle injections treatments are an easy, relatively pain-free process and a great solution for reducing the appearance of wrinkles around the face, primarily around the brow, eye and cheek areas.
A 20 minute consultation is required prior to the treatment. The procedure involves a few tiny injections into the areas of concern. You are then able to return to your normal daily routine immediately without the need for a lengthy recovery period. The treated lines on your face will begin to soften over a three to five day period following the procedure and their appearance will further improve over the next two weeks. Your new, fresher appearance and feel will stay with you for three to six months (every result is different depending on how quickly your body breaks down the toxin), at which point treatment is easily repeated.
The chin can be treated to give a less bulky and dimpled appearance which tends to occur as we age.
Frown lines can be seen as vertical lines in between the eyebrows and are common in people who frown a lot or have been overexposed to the sun. Small injections are licensed to treat these lines, in between and along the brow.
Forehead wrinkles appear as horizontal lines on the forehead which are more prominent when you raise your eyebrows. To treat these, small injections are given on the forehead
Antiwrinkle Injections can also be used to achieve an eyebrow raise or “Chemical Brow Lift”. Carefully placed injections around the brow can raise the eyebrows by about 3 millimeters. This can open up the eyes and in women give a more youthful appearance.
Crow’s feet are found in the outer corner of the eyes. They appear more prominent when smiling or laughing. They occur as the skin becomes less elastic with age, combined with excessive sun exposure. Small injections at either side of the eyes are licensed to treat crow’s feet wrinkles.
Smoker’s lines appear around the mouth above the top lip. They can occur in non smokers, but can appear more prominent in smokers. Injections placed around above the top lip are all that is needed to reduce their appearance.
Anti-wrinkle injections can be used into the corners of the mouth alleviating the sad appearance that can occur with ageing.
Bunny lines are wrinkles at the top of the nose which can appear when squinting or frowning and can be successfully treated with anti-wrinkle injections injections.
Anti-wrinkle injections can also be used to treat Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) under the arms where it is a proven method of preventing perspiration for up to six months at a time.
The procedure is largely pain free, with the exception of mild discomfort which is experienced due to the small needle injection involved. You may notice some soreness in the injection site directly after the treatment, but this should subside quickly.
After 3-6 days you will start to see a significant improvement in your wrinkles in the treated area*
**Some people can take longer to see results, sometimes up to 12-14 days before the results are apparent.
