Dermal filler is a gel like substance containing hyaluronic acid
We use it for all kinds of wonderful anti-aging, contouring, facial beautifying and skin revitalising treatments including -
- Replacing volume in the face that we have lost through age
- Filling lines and wrinkles
- Plumping and redefining the lips
- Straightening noses
- Reducing hallowing under the eyes
- Contouring the cheeks and the jaw
- Balancing profiles
- Correcting asymmetries
Dermal filler has received bad press over the years, mainly through it’s misuse by inexperienced practitioners using inappropriate fillers, injecting too much volume and/or using incorrect techniques. At Beyoo we are skilled practitioners and when dermal fillers are administered correctly, you can achieve a completely natural look.

FAQ's
The main ingredient in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule which is naturally present in the human body, it is essential for the regulation of water balance, transporting nutrients in the skin and keeping eyes and joints well lubricated. Hyaluronic acid retains moisture, in fact it is capable of retaining more than 1000 times its weight in water. As we age the ability to produce hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin decreases. this leads to loss of volume in the skin, loss of hydration and plumpness.
Dermal filler has different concentrations of hyaluronic acid, the concentration used depends on the indication for use.
The hyaluronic acid in the dermal filler is a gel like substance which physically adds volume to the area we inject, and it also attracts water which will help to hydrate the treated area.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are not permanent, the longevity of dermal filler depends on the type of dermal filler used, the concentration of hyaluronic acid, the volume that is injected and where it is injected.
On average we say that dermal filler lasts between 6 and 18 months.
Dermal filler results are instant, although it can take 4 weeks for the dermal filler to fully integrate into the tissue and for the full results to be seen, and for any swelling to settle.
Bruising and swelling and the main side effects of dermal filler treatment, although it doesn’t happen to everyone and we always do all we can to prevent it from happening. Usually bruising and swelling settle in a couple of days, although sometimes it can take upto 4 weeks to settle.
Usually bruising can be covered with makeup, however we do advise avoiding make up application for 12 - 24 hours after treatment.
As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks injecting dermal filler, the most serious being something called a vascular occlusion. This is when dermal filler is injected into a vein and it obstructs the blood flow to the skin. It is rare that it happens, however we carry all the kit to dissolve the dermal filler if it was to happen. There are some other risks which will be fully discussed with you in your consultation.
After every treatment we do a full assessment to make sure that everything looks great before you leave, we also have a 24-hour helpline, just in case you have any concerns after treatment. Aftercare is something we take very seriously and we can assure you that you will be looked after the whole way through youth treatment journey, including post treatment.
