Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that creates thousands of tiny microchannels in the top layer of the skin. The tiny little skin pricks create controlled trauma to the skin, inducing a healing response resulting in the production of new collagen and elastin.
The stimulation of the collagen and elastin helps to reduce lines and wrinkles and improves skin firmness. As the procedure also initiates skin repair, it's fantastic for patients with scarring, in particular rolling scars caused by acne.
