Age and repetitive muscle movement can leave lines that are etched in to the skin, even at rest. These lines can be ageing at can leave you looking tired and aged. Anti-wrinkle treatment can soften those lines, leading to a more youthful and refreshed appearance. By reducing the muscle movement, anti-wrinkle injections not only soften or temporarily remove lines, they also act as a prevention method from developing more lines. With special advanced techniques we can use anti-wrinkle injections to lift certain areas of the face (eg eyebrows) and also correct facial asymmetries.

Frown lines
Frown lines (AKA glabella lines) are the vertical lines that appear when we contract our frown muscles, when we are younger the lines are usually superficial and disappear when you are not contracting the muscle, but as we age, they can become deeper and are visible at rest. The frown lines are the most common place to be treated with anti-wrinkle injections, people feel that these lines can make them look angry or frustrated, when they’re not. With anti-wrinkle injections, if can reduce the severity of the lines and in some individuals, temporary eradicate them. Not only does treating this area improve the look of the lines but because the complex of muscles are depressor muscles (meaning they pull down) treating them helps to open up the face, resulting in a more relaxed and rested appearance.
Forehead lines
Forehead lines (AKA surprise lines), Forehead lines are horizonal lines that you see across your head when you raise your eyebrows. This is the area that without careful assessment and incorrect treatment could cause drooping of the brows or can cause a surprised ‘botoxed’ look. However, when the product is placed correctly it can transform your face. We can reduce the severity of the lines (or eradicate them completely in patients with superficial lines) and we can also slightly elevate your eyebrows to give you a more youthful look.
Crow’s feet
Crow’s feet (AKA as smile lines) are the lines we get around our eyes when smiling or squinting. Now, we believe that these are happy lines, and they are responsible for our happy expressions, however, when they are deep or present at rest, they can age you and make you look tired. Sometimes when you see people that have had too much ‘botox’ you can’t tell if their smile is genuine or not however with skilfully placed injections, we can relax those lines and still ensure that you can convey a happy, natural smile.
Brow lift
As we age our skin loses collagen and elastin and it takes its toll on our eyebrows, they can sag making us look tired and old. With skilfully placed injections we are able to slightly raise the eyebrows (and we’re not talking Dr Spock!) giving a more awake, fresh look. We can also use these injections to settle any asymmetries you may have in your eyebrows.
Bunny lines
Bunny lines refer to the lines that you can get at the side of your nose when you scrunch up your nose when you laugh or smile deeply. By relaxing the muscle that causes these lines, we can greatly reduce their appearance.
Drooping Nose tip
Tension in the depressor septi nasi muscle can be responsible for pulling the nose tip down and expanding the nostrils, especially when smiling. By using anti-wrinkle injections in this muscle, it can help to raise the tip slightly. Although this can be used as a standalone treatment, nasal tip injections work really well with dermal filler to achieve a more balanced and attractive nose.
